The spelling made good

Okay. Just a short post to say that I found out the correct spelling for the Albion Basin. That's for all of you that now want to Google it and look at more out of this world pics (like I just did). I'm not kidding...it's unreal!

No, I show 4 colors

Okay, so I went back and counted. There are actually 4 colors of Indian Paintbrush flowers. Just in case you are saying, "Julie, you think you are so smart-you can't even count."

Here's also a few old pics from our cabin. Another paradise in the Uintah mountains. You're probably wondering why I am sitting here at the computer and not in the mountains right now. Yea, I'm wondering that too.

We go back in time to show some Albian Basin pics

Well, it's that time of the year...July...when the Albian (not sure of this spelling...yikes) Basin is at its peak. We're going to go there in a few days but I thought I would post a few pics that I took at least 3 years or so ago. I'm not kidding-this place is super fantastic. It's the only place that I know of that has more than just a few colors of Indian Paintbrush flowers. I show 3 colors here but there are also white ones. Soooo gorgeous!

A Cold Dip in the Lake for Char and Other Thoughts

Well it's summer time and that means the cabin! It's so beautiful up there at this time of the year. By up there I mean the Uintah Mountains. By our cabin is a small pond that is so cold when you jump in that it kicks you in the chest...then you breath. Char braved it last weekend while I cleaned the cabin and Chris took some photos. It's a good idea to have someone with you when you take the plunge to make sure you're safe. Char said it was extremely cold but he had a lot of fun.

So we had a fun family party last night and here's a few shots of us at Suzanne's house. We haven't had a family reunion like this on my side of the family for ages. Everyone was there except Cliff, Kip, Yuki, Brandon and Grace. It was great!

Lots more pictures to post but I need to edit them first. Something to do later.
